Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Location: Hyatt Conference Center
Room: Room 12cd
Please pre-register to help us better plan for appetizer orders!
Thank you to the Elite sponsors; Ingenix, Phenomenal Networks, Sprint, and Virtelligence for their contributions to the chapter reception!
Upcoming Board Nominations
Andy Galbus, President-Elect
In March the Minnesota chapter will open up nominations to fill positions on its board. Our board will be changing in July and this will create some new opportunities for HIMSS members to get involved. If you are interested in becoming a member of the board, nominations will take place March 2 to March 27.
Hear one board member, Margaret Senn, speak about what HIMSS and the Minnesota Chapter have meant to her.
Programs Update
Pete Palmer, Programs Chair
The Minnesota Chapter of HIMSS was excited to present its December Program: Demystifying E-Prescribing. This program provided attendees with the opportunity to hear from several industry leaders on the details of E-Prescribing and the impact of E-Prescribing requirements. The panel, which was moderated by JP Little, Co-CEO of SureScripts-RxHub, consisted of Alan Abramson, CIO, HealthPartners; Lee Mork, Pharmacy Manager at Allina; and Ken Majkowski, Business Development Director with SureScripts-RxHub. We welcomed about 100 attendees across our three sites: the Allina Commons in Minneapolis, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
As we move into 2009, we are in the planning stages of a program for early March, as well as the 8th Annual HIT Institute day-long program, which we co-sponsor with the Medical Industry Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

There are upcoming Events and Programs that Sponsors have the ability to provide additional support for.
