HIMSS Chapter Standards - Mike
  • Mike submitted the standards electronically to National
HIMSS Innovation Award - Bobbie
  • Bobbie submitted the Innovation Award to National
Treasures Report - Dana
  • Current Assets $6467.05 (8/9/2000)
National Convention - Ray
  • Please let Ray or Bobbie know if you’ll be attending the national convention in 2001

Progress Reports from Committee chairs

Program Committee -Susan

September program

  • Susan will try and setup a program either with Woodwinds or Children’s
  • If timing becomes an issue, we’ll cancel the September meeting and focus on ITEC instead.
  • Ray mentioned Cerner might be a good candidate for a project management presentation

ITEC

  • ITEC will help us find sponsors for our program
  • A budget needs to be setup to determine cost per participant
  • A sponsor needs to be found to host the lunch
  • National will provide the chapter with $1000 for speaker fee
  • Susan will plan a meeting with MHIMA
  • Ray recommend Betsy Hirscher as a possible keynote speaker

Sponsorship Committee - Maureen

  • Maureen recommended that the chapter start looking for sponsors outside or normal zone, such as ecommerce startups.
  • David Jones and Maureen will work together to find and retain sponsors 

Publishing Committee – Jonathan

  • Jonathan and Mike will create the 3nd QTR newsletter by the end of August
  • Jonathan will send the biography sheet to everyone for review and updating.
  • Jonathan will email chapter mailing list to board members
