Chapter Updates

Chapter awards and innovation-

Update – Georgia won Grand Prize and First Place.  Minnesota Chapter received an Honorable Mention.  Thank you Ray for your efforts!

Student Involvement

  • Update – Suzanne continue to pursue

Chapter documents to share with National:

  • Membership applications
  • Newsletters
  • Program fliers (including ITEC)
  • Program checklist
  • Web site private pages (per Ray's recommendation)
  • Thank you notes to sponsors, organizations, speakers
  • All items are being sent in electronic form to National so they can host them for us.  Ray and Patty will take copies for the Leaders workshop.

HIMSS 2000 National Conference
MN Get Together/Reception in Dallas

  • Scheduled for April 10 from 4:30 to 7 pm. 
  • Location in room A405 
  • What do we want to do, provide – Lite snacks 
  • Should we look for sponsorship? – Yes
  • Any suggestions on handouts (gifts)?  if anything?  Patty will check into some affordable options.  Also talked about free MN membership giveaway
  • Suggest creating special invitation to be sent to all MN members and National members that are not MN members yet – Mike will send out an email to all National members who live in Minnesota to invite them to meet with the rest of the Chapter
  • Patty will check with National to make sure they have signs available

Board member solicitation calls

  • Discussion of overall responses – no discussion at this meeting, will address at the next meeting
